AMT Ertl XWing Fighter( snap kit)
Posted by LtGreg on Saturday, November 19, 2005 8:51 PM
I am almost finished with the finishing touches and was looking to do the  canopy to paint and to attach. But it is no where to be found. I have looked all over and it has disappeared! Does anyone have one from model  #8932 that they are not using or know where I can get a replacement?

Wow, looks like AMT/ERTL aren't going to be any help:

I have the kit, but unfortunately I'm in the process of building it.  You may be stuck with having to buy another kit to get yours done.  I have the same luck with canopies, but my troubles were with the larger scale glue-together X-Wing kit.  Good luck to you.

Boy that stinks, you buy a model from RC2 and they expect you to fraud some other dealer to get the replacement part or kit replaced. How dishonest is that? Wow!

YEP GOT IT! If you want it let me know.
Strange things you find in the parts box??? I have only ever bought one of the B-wing and one snap X-wing fighter kit but for some reason I have 3 canopies for each. Maybe there is some kind of vortex under you alls bench that leads directly to my parts box???

Yes it is sadSad [:(] I remember before RC2 got thier hands around AMT/ERTL they had great customer service. All you had to do was give them a call, let them know the part number and kit number and they would have it out to you within a week.

Revell/Monogram sent me a bunch of parts I needed to replace a busted clear parts tree for an AV-8B Harrier quick, for only $3.  I'm pretty happy for that.  Of course, I got the kit for $7 at Hobby Lobby, so I didn't mind raising the total cost to $10 for a 20-someodd dollar kit... Big Smile [:D]
