I put the camo scheme on it over the last two days, it looks cool, I need to weather and wash it then I'm done.

Personally, I'm collecting these models, when I find them cheap, for parts. That turret screams KLINGON BRIDGE to me, hehe.

It's actually one of Ertl's GOOD models. No real problems in fit, and good detail.

I have one of these nearly completed ( but untouched for years ). The colors I used were Testors British Gulf Armor Light Stone for the base color and and their FS Dark Tan for the darker patches. The missile launch tubes are flat back.

As for construction, It's going to need some work ( sanding, filling ), but it's not the worst I've dealt with.

I think when mine is finished I'll make a small diorama base for it with the tank running over Jar-Jar.

I have an unopened one on the self so I have no tips on it other then to test fit, file and fill.

IMHO, Just like real fighting vehicles the Sci-Fi’s would be used in different theaters of operation so would need different finishes.
