The movie is worth going to see, no question. Just be sure it's a matinee showing. Wink [;)]

The lack of original thinking in the movie industry is becoming ever more glaring.  We were waiting to see King Kong and watched previews for upcoming films. The "Poseidon Adventure" and "Miami Vice" coming next year. Can't wait to see those.....again!!!Confused [%-)]

The story goes that there's something like six general story lines that all movies fall into.  I think we should find the guy who came up with those and see if he has another one in him.SoapBox [soapbox]

Until then just make one Star TrekSmile [:)] film after another....

P.S.   Also, Soon  coming to a theatre near you .....Rocky VI  and The Godfather IV.  All those jokes about Halloween MLVI, and Rocky XXV aren't too far offSmile,Wink, & Grin [swg].

I think a model of Kong climbing the Empire State building would be cool...

he's pretty much just a regular gorilla in this one.  you could probably just get some kind of normal animal figure and modify it a little for specific details like scars, teeth, eyes, etc.

If they can make a kit that does any justice to how he looks in this movie, then yes, I would build it. I think that depending on the scale one could make a pretty cool diorama out of it with a couple little bi-planes....

Narnia on the other hand was awesome! Took my son to see that on Monday and he and I enjoyed the heck out of it. almost brought a tear to my eye to hear my 8 year old say "Daddy, that wasn't like the book in that part..."

They grow up so fast....

Now that would be a cool figure to build too....the Ice Queen on her chariot being pulled by those polar bears....

I don't think anything original has come out of holywood in years. Everything is a remake, a sequal, or a movie treatment remakeof an old TV series. Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and some of those new glorified thrillers that they are calling horror movies. But yes Kong I will be there...

I remember the old model from the 70s, along with Frankenstein's monster, the Wolfman, etc.  The movie looks like it should be good, eh?  But it's just too bad that Hollywood's starting to show the "nothing new under the sun" approach to things...
