Finally it has arrived. I got a letter in the mail yesterday
saying that it had gone through the customs (ack! a $35 fee on the
package... +the normal cost), and was currently beeing shipped out to my local post
office.
And today when I woke up, I was desperately awaiting the mailman to
come with the little note for me saying that I have a package at the
post office. An hour or two later, I had the note in my hand.
So, I went to the post office and picked up the package. And I'll tell you, what a package it was.
Anyway.
I got home and ripped (more like gently removed) the cardboard box that the kit was in. And before me I see it, at last.
I started checking out all the parts to see that there was no damage to
any of them, and from what I could tell after looking through all the
bags with runners twice, they looked just fine.
Then I started checking out the manual a bit. Really nice layout in it
and very easy to understand. Still, the model seems quite challenging
because of the lighting that is inside it. Alot of wires and stuff
inside the frame.
I can't wait to start working on, but I'll have to wait a bit. Need to
do some minor investments, paint and some stuff before I can start.
I'll be sure to update the thread with some pictures of the kit, manual
and of course my process on the gundam once I start building.
Look forward to it.
Oh, and as a side note. The kit cost me quite much with it going
through the customs and all. I think it landed on about $150. It seems
worth it though, because it looks like one hell of a model.
