This ends now gentlemen. Take it off board if you must, and let's stay on target Red 5.

PS: I'm here a lot more than you know...it's just that I don't have much to say.

My 2 cents.

Dear Q,

You do not know me,I have been here for almost a year now and I have not bothered anyone, especially you,I have not done anything questionable during this time,I have participated in this forum, contributed to this forum, and stayed on topic, like some here cannot seen to do.The only time I have been off topic is to wish the fellow modelers a nice holiday, which I will not do anymore since some of us seem to be annoyed by it.I will say this only once, there is enough room here for all of us. And as far as me spamming,ya I did do that in the beginning, but I was told that this was not the place to sell things,so I have not done it. I just wish you and all the rest of the SSM junkies would leave me alone on here, and stick to topic. The topic on here is the Phase 2 kit I did.If you have something constructive to say about the topic, then say it. Otherwise I will contact Dave Voss about this.

Hey Aric... Nice assesment?..

Not sure if you ever noticed, but I mainly post over at the aircraft forum, and this is probably the second time I have posted here in the sci fi section in as many months. The other subject that I can remember posting to was I think concerning some gundam stuff, and well.. I dont think I was nasty, nor hostile in that thread. Infact I think I remember praising the poster for his efforts.. If you can find anywhere else on these forums that I have been rude or hostile with another member, then you are more than welcome to look!

Lastly. You might buy into grasshopper's nice guy routine, but there are member's aswell as myself that know that this guy should be taken with a grain of salt.. He is a guy that uses many different alias's. And is always pushing something, or looking for something for his own benefit... He has started trouble on other sites, been banned repeatedly, and has changed names more times than I can remember, in order to join back up again... If you need to go to those lengths, then I feel that you have some issue's..... For all I know he could be you?

He goes on about a deal that he and I were going to make concerning a 1/350 NX-01, but he came up with so many different stories and lies concerning it, that I simply decided not to trade with him!.. He also feels that this is the reason why I dont like him?..  Lets just say, I didnt do a deal with him because right from the start, he appeared as nothing short of shady, and has since blamed me for bringing up the past.. Man.. I could care less!

Now getting back to the subject at hand.. I never once said that his work was crap.. But I said that the model that he is so happy to advertise for some guy he doesnt know is crap! What benefit does it get him, if he tells everyone about this guys stuff?.. Secondly. Regardless of it being him that I have been negative with, then, I would say the same thing to other people if they showed me the same model.. Simply doesnt have anything to do with him? Although with his past arguments, fights, and name changes. Lets just say he enjoyes having attention come his way!

If you want to lable me with a guilty verdict, then the only thing I can be guilty of, is letting this guy get under my skin!.. Why should I care what he does or say?.. I should just leave it be.. But to be honest. I simply get the irrates when I see his fake "Happy New Year all" crap... I have left other sites because of him, and so when I settled here at FSM, I found it to be a very relaxed, and enjoyable site. So to see this guy find his way here kinda gets to me a little..

If you want to call me out for being nasty, then so be it.. Go look through my threads and see what it is that I do talk about here, and you just might be surprised to know that I am not the person you think I am!.. I am happy to put my reputation up against his anytime.... This will be the last I am going to say on this, as I know that he will respond with some form of I am not the same person anymore crap, and the cycle will begin all over again.. The sad fact is, he wont be able to help himself, and he will respond.. He cant help it.. So for me, last I will say on the matter, and I will let him go!

Happy modeling.
Chris (thats my real name too)

Grasshopper,

I think I've seen enough to know that Chris doesn't go out of his way to be nasty.  It's right down his path.  Here, there, and everywhere.

Maybe its a matter of poorly developed message-forum social skills.

It may not be the best, but others may like it,to each his own.I do not think it is that bad for what it is and what I had to work with.It came out okay for now until like I said someone else comes out with a Phase 2 that is bigger. And I am sure someone will before long.

I did not feel the need to report this guy to Ebay, the model turned out okay,at least to me for now,and when someone else makes a larger Phase 2,well this will have to suffice.I left the other 2 pictures on there to show others what the kit looks like so if they decide to get one they can see what they are getting, and if they want to get it or pass.

I dont go out of my way to be nasty.. But I say what I think, and well, I guess it can be taken the wrong way.. As for ebay.. Did you notify ebay as to this guys stuff?

Why did you remove the 3rd pic in your first post, and not the other 2?..

I have gotten over it,but when you leave comments like Gee that name sound familar, well that to me is just bringing up the past and feeding the fire.As far as the $30.00 is concerned when you buy off Ebay you are pretty much stuck with what you get,but personally I like the kit,and since i took everyones advice and cleaned it up a little more than it was when I took the first set of pictures, well it looks a lot better. Besides I do not look at your comment or anyone elses as negative, just constructive. Thanks

Well I think I did make a comment concerning the subject.. Paying $30 and all.. My disliking you is no secret, so just by posting to one of your threads, you yourself assume that I am bringing up the past?..

Dude, I couldnt care less about the past, so get over it!.. The fact that my comment is a negative one has nothing to do with YOU either?.. Regardless of who it is, $30 for that crap is way too steep in my opinion?......... But a fool and his money ect ect...........

Sheesh...

I have not bothered you, and I would appreciate the same as far as the comments above. It just seems like you are constantly trying to start something with me? Well I wish you would please for the last time stop,it would be appreciated. If you want to comment on my work or a thread that pertains to the subject, then that is fine. But Please lets stick to topic, thanks.

Seems like a pretty rough little chunk of resin for $30. The sculpt seems very coarse, even for a four-inch piece. Looks like it was carved out of a piece of soap.

As for the build, you might want to consider giving it a flat coat of some type. The shine makes it look smaller than it actually is.
The decals on the nacelles look good, but the painting of the black "L"-shaped areas in front of the decals is quite rough, and needs to be tightened up (actually, all the painted areas are fairly rough). The right nacelle also seems to be quite a bit out of alignment.

Sorry if all that seems a bit harsh, but you did ask for comments, and I try to give honest ones.

I thank you for your honesty, yea it was not too easy to build it.Since the pictures have been taken I have fixed the nacelle and used a flat clear coat to take away the shine. The pieces were rough to start and very hard to smooth out because of them being so small, but I did manage to smooth it out a little better also.I have removed the one picture of the nacelle being goofed up,since I did fix it.

It's just the 3 set 1/2500 TOS and Refit stuck together by the looks of it, and a whole heap of putty to change the appearance somewhat!... $30?.. I would have sent it back and asked why he ripped you off?.. I agree also.. I am always the first to praise good work.. But honestly?

Chris

Oh,My mistake.Sorry,Well the person who made this kit, well that is what I had to work with, and he went by the same photos that were available on the internet. So I guess that is his interpetation of what the Phase 2 looks like I guess. I think it turned out good, very diffucult to position the nacelles because of the size, but other than that, not any harder than the AMT Refit 1/2500 scale ship.

Sorry you did not like it,I felt it looked real good considering what I had to work with, and the fact it is a very small kit to begin with. I was going to weather it,but I did not think it would look right since it was the Phase 2 and it was in actuality the 1sr Refit,so I made it to look like it was fresh out of spacedock.

I got this kit off Ebay. The person I got it from makes these himself, and to my knowledge is the only PHASE II kit in existance. I am sure he has more. His Ebay User name is: jayathome he makes other 1/2500 scale resin kits I plan on getting. I recommend this kit and the others he has also. It was delicate work and a challenge, but I think this turned out great.I paid $26.00 plus $4.00 shipping for this kit.It comes with decals and instructions,no stand. I added the stand from an old Federation Model kit I did not use.I thought it was appropiate for this kit.I am sure if you go to Ebay and email this seller he would sell you this kit and others he has.

Posted by Admiral Grasshopper1 on Monday, December 26, 2005 8:49 PM

Hello I wanted to show evryone the finished 1/2500 PHASE II Resin kit. I used a paper clip for support rod.I used an old Federation Models Stand for this,I thought it looked good. This was a very delicate kit to do. And This is the second time I have done a kit this small. This is the first time I decalled Nacelles and Deflector, which I think turned out very well. Please let me know what you think.
