SPACE 1999 HAWK FIGHTER (AIRFIX)

That is a very, very fine piece of work.  Much different than the "strictly out of box" business I was into doing as a kid in the 70s.

I always wanted to build that model, as well as the Eagle.  But the Hawk was a much more attractive model to me.  Never got to build either one, and I really don't want to do a resin kit because I am into all the little detail part building, and not a minimal assembly project.

I'd love to get hold of both the Eagle and the Hawk kits from that time.

I am aware of the bigger hawk kits, the one I have is a 22inch version based on the studio model. (going to post some shots later this evening)

the big hawk is under construction.

The kit was a limited edition by AB models of England (50 kits).

I also have three 22inch eagles.

I will post some shots of my eagle freighter which is almost completely scratch built but looks crap because it was done before Noah built the ark

 and the new comet kits became available.

One of my "sci-fi nut friends" got that big Eagle toy for Christmas when it came out.  I remember us all drooling over it being just so BIG!

its been a while , but Im resurrecting this thread.

Actually it was VERY VERY good for 1970s ITC television. Unilike BBC that will re-license a dog farting, ITC has not relicensed any programming  for rebroadcast to anyone besides A & E Broadcasting. I have the complete series boxed and am about halfwaythrough the series now.

I will have an update on a resin Hawk I just got soon.

   The first season is available in a DVD Boxed set. I saw it in a dvd store the other day. I guess it would be available over there too....

My wife said the same thing last night (episode The Metamorph) I'm working my way through the whole series start to finish on DVD and man did the series change when it went to Season2, the whole spirit of the show was a big change as well as the hardware machines and never quite explained dissapearance of Dr. Bergman and Paul Morrow....and just where DID Tony come from?????
