Lukes snow speeder
Posted by stipp on Sunday, January 8, 2006 8:16 AM

hey people! here are some pics of my snow speeder I did for the Star Wars GB this week, I hope you all like!

This version is the one that Luke Skywalker flew in Empire strikes back, his craft has gray markings, the AMT offering has one with red markings, those are for Wedge not Luke! Amt included those markings cause they are prettier and brighter.

Beautifully done. Has the feel of a studio model.

Why thank you people! that was very nice of you to say that Woody!

Actually, a friend of mine does all of the masters for mastr replicas and he had a snow speeder that was Lukes and he sent me some great pics of it.

the pilots suck and i wasnt about to put them in such a nice craft.

The shots are what my camera can give, along with the software I got.

Excellent, the finish looks better than the MR piece. I was going to mention to you Tamiya Model Magazine International, who ran an article on the MR snowspeeder this month, its cool but yours is better.

Regards and congrats,

Terry.

What is the approximate scale on the AMT Snowspeeder? Is it around 1/24th?  ( I know, I know, AMT never did quite understand that 'us dumb kids' would've cared about such things)
