My take on the Pro-Shop X-Wing
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 11:56 PM
I have finished my Pro-Shop X-Wing. This is my first (more) serious try at a kit. I think that almost 50% of the techniques I tried on this kit were new to me, including airbrushing. I think it came out pretty good considering the amount of experience I've had, hehe. Thanks for looking!

Looks great.  I know what you mean by trying new techniques.  I'm supprised you tried them for the first time on an expensize kit.  But it seems to have worked for you.

Thanks for the nice comments.
As for the kit being expensive... I got lucky, I found it in a pawn shop for $20. Not bad, all the electronic things work too, although a bit gimicky. Also, if anyone decides to try this, the LEDs for the engines and cockpit were brighter than I had anticipated, so make sure you paint the inside surface as well, I have light showing through the plastic when their on.

looks cool, I bought my friend one of these a couple of years ago. Never built it. I have some fine moulds kits myself. Congrats on a fine job.

Regards,

Terry.
