I really like these kits, they practically build themselves...

Really nice I have two of these things, and two X-wings, havn't got to them yet but it's always nice to see one done.

Congrats on a really nice build.

Terry.

Wow, looks great.  What is the manufacturer of this kit?  Have you done the stand yourself?
No matter where you go ....... there you are.

The stand comes with the model. They're made by Fine Molds of Japan, whose series includes the standard Tie Fighter, Tie Interceptor, X-Wing, Slave I AOTC, Jedi Starfighter AOTC, and the massive Millenium Falcom.

HobbyLink Japan is usually a good place to get these (www.hlj.com) or eBay.

I've partially built my TIE fighter from FineMolds, aslo. I stopped a while back and put it back in the box. I have two kits of each of the models produced by FineMolds, with the exception of the Falcon and Slave I. The inner walls of the TIE cockpit "sphere" has black and red decals, simulating some cockpit floodlights or so. I didn't realize that if those inner walls were done in clear styrene, the decals red parts are translucent enough to be lighted from the outside the walls. I am going to build those inner walls from scratch clear styrene and see if it works!

Happy Modeling,
