Aztecking?
Posted by wolfpac on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 11:27 AM

Is there a preffered method to do the aztecking on space craft?  I took on a build for my LHS owner of the Enterprise (the one from the latest show) and figured it would be a straightforward build, until I saw that I would have to do aztecking.

I've never done it before, so dumb it up as much as possible for me Smile [:)]

Thank you,

Erik

There are decals for the aztecing over on starshipmodelers.com
Also, on another forum, someone masked it out & sprayed it. Think it was scalemodeler's forum. Others may know more. How's the build coming along? I too have the NX-01 still on the "to-do" pile

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out and hopefully make some headway.  When I dropped of my recent motorcycle build at my LHS the owner asked if I would do a project for him.  I asked him what he wanted and he pulled up the USS Enterprise 1:350 scale aircraft carrier.  At first I was saying "Hell Yeah", than I noticed how big it was (roughly 3 feet long), and than I noticed the price tag.....$200.  I declined that build, I really didn't want the pressure of screwing up someone elses $200 model.  So he handed me the NX-01.  I thought it would be cake until I noticed the aztecking when I got home.

Hope this helps ya.

I know the aztecing is "intimidating" to say the least and is partly to blame for my not having started it yet.
