Thanks Steven, I have thought about using them but, can't afford to buy them at this time.

I've already begun the paiting of the base &  the phaser banks on the saucer section of the D with Silver. Will post pics soon.

I'd suggest using Dave Tomita's decal set for the D, it's quite nice. I started using it on my carrier saucer. Keep us posted on the build.

I hear ya, that was kewl!! IIRC they did try to do a spin off of the 6-million dollar Man & Bionic woman... I don't recall the name but, there were several youngin's with bionics & of course Lee Majors was in it working with those kids...didn't last long tho

Remember the ranch by the lake? Lee Majors owned it back then (Think Farrah Faucetts still does) any ways, Lee Majors use to hire my scout troop to come out to clean up the ranch before they did any shooting out there. It was a great experienceSmile [:)]

The compressor is a generic one, no manuf. marking anywhere. I'll just have to take the end grille off and start fiddling with it. I have an electrician that may be able to help(I'm in home remodeling). I bought one of those cpld solder tools recently, might be able to use that.

I live in Arcadia(hence USS ARCADIA) near Pasadena. Usually can't complain about the weather here, just becoming too crowded!! And too expensive.

Good luck with the compressor. Maybe your electrician friend can find the problemSmile [:)]

Thanks for the link. I'll have to get one. As for the compressor I don't know if I can dig it apart to fix it. I'd hate to have to get another one. As a back up a friend has air tanks and a whole bank of Iwata's he'll let me use. And finally the weather is good enough to spray. Looks like the rain has mostly stopped. You got alot more up thar this year than we did here in SoCal.

What compressor ya got anyways?  You might be able to find a "parts list/ diagram" for it on-line to help ya figure out what yer doingWink [;)]
I'm in Stockton & yup, we've had alot of rain so far this year & looks like more on the way tomorrowSigh [sigh]  So, yer a So Cal boy ay? where abouts?  I'm originally from Ventura County

Cool! Can't wait to see the results. I need one of those regulator/traps too. My one hose has a built in MT and the connection is shot. Compressor has short in switch giving intermittent power.

The Badger came in!!Approve [^] Now I just have to wait for the air line before I can try it outSad [:(] I've been fondling it eversince it arrrived a day later than it as suppose toShock [:O]  It sure sits nicely in my hand instead of that S/A I got from Harbor freight awhile back.  I can hardly  wait to run some paint thru this babyEvil [}:)] So far I like the feel of it in my hand, the ease of the grip  & trigger action. Next payday I'll order the Paasche regulator & water trap for the compressor and then I should be set up properly.

Thanks StevenQ. I'll keep y'all appraised on the results of my attempts with the new A/B. I have plenty of plastic buckets around to practice on. Not to mention my '66 Ford F-100 sitting in my backyard

Let us know how it goes, Ed. Taping and airbrushing. Try out the brush on some scrap sheet styrene and maybe an old model from the parts bin. I have both single and dual action Paasche's but have never used the DA. I'd be interested in your results.

Looks good StevenQThumbs Up [tup] I will try this and see how it goes. I did pick up some "pinstriping" tape which is a  1/4 inch & doesn't appear very "tacky"I also took some given advice about putting the tape on my skin a few times before using it. (think it was MikeV's advice??)
Looks like tonight is my last night of modeling Shock [:O] Cuz tomorrow I should be getting my new addition....... a Badger 175!! Tongue [:P]  I'll be busy playin' with itMischief [:-,] Will be fun to practice with as I've never used a double action beforeBlush [:I]

Here's a pic of the battlecruiser right after second color was sprayed. Some of the tape was pulled off so you could see both Blue and Tamiya tapes. You might try cutting the Blue into thin strips of 1/8-1/4" thick. This way they will "bend" around curves easier.
