This is just too odd... I was just digging around for these guys' models because I wanted to take on something for a GB I am putting together and I remembered when these models were brought up some months back!

This was a really nice little model build, and am glad to see it again.

I love the look of these goods even though I know nothing about the genre... and wanted to get one of the robot or vehicle kits if I could find one... and make a sci-fi diorama with a look of being damaged and wrecked in combat, abandoned on some desolate landscape

Thanks for waking this one up!  Even if it was just by chance.

Wow! I just found this thred, but you have absolutely captured the SAFS! I love the layout and your maint GSE (ground support equipment) looks great! Would love to know where you got the images for the display.

Markings, paint, camo, all look great. Please post more.

Ill post up my SAFS girl tonight when I get home.

Hi all;

This is my first ever Sci-Fi build.  I picked up the Nitto SAFS (from the Maschinen Krieger universe) on ebay and decided to give it a try.  This vignette represents a SAFS undergoing some maintenance checks.  The SAFS is built pretty much OOB, the technician is from Tamiya's 1/20 Pit Crew Set, and the hovering maintenance cart is scratchbuilt.

Hope you like it :)
