Does anyone know how to scratchbuild or kitbash one of these in about 1/32 scale? Any advice appreciated! Thanks.

You might try to dig up the old TOS plan set that had views of the Landram. Screen caps from the TOS DVD would help as well. I had thought about scrathing one for the 1/48 scale shuttle by SMT, but they cancelled it!Sigh [sigh] It shouldn't be to hard as most of the lines are simple. Finding a scale snowcat for the treads might be tricky.

Will do, thanks. As far as scratchbuilding one, let me ask a dumb question. Do you just get some plastic sheets and cut the pieces out to scale? As far as finding a snow-cat, that will be tough. Any armor model kits come to mind that might be a good match for the chassis of the landram? Thanks.

Basicly, yes just cutting out pieces from sheet styrene. I can make you copies of the plans if you can't find a set. As for the chassis. you might inquire over in the armor section. I remember hunting around the internet once for a snow cat model and came up empty. A German Tiger tank treads may work but not sure about the wheels.

Thanks for the pic. I think the M113 APC might work as a base to add to for this thing.

Sounds like a good idea, as long as you don't mind the expense of the "track". You could build up on top of it. Swap out treads. Now get to work!! Big Smile [:D]

The track cleats are offset on the Landram with the track base solid like a rubber belt. They remind me of Tiger I tracks. In 1/35 scale, those tracks are nice and wide. Maybe more of what you're looking for.
