Scratchbuilding/Kitbashing Sci-Fi Models-Part 4
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006 8:45 AM
Hey folks. Just posted part 4 of my "mostly made from scratch" series. This installment covers surface detail (think old-school, Star Wars-type detail), and gives techniques for coming up with surface details (including an unconventional use of the Yin-Yang symbol as an inspiration for surface detail!)

Here's the link:

Hope someone can use it!

My first stop yesterday was to the local Radio Shack for a pair of nibblers...the big 7 bucks! Already, they have proven useful in the construction of the missile launcher for the Gunslinger battlemech.

Once again, great article full of fantastic advice !

Wow, that's cheap! You got a good deal on the nibbler there.
Thanks again.

Thank you-glad you found something useful in it!

Part 5 is up-it deals more with the decorative side of things (alien script/lettering/alphabets).
