Thanks for the confidence, Matt!  Of course, it's all for the guy who'll be casting this, 'cause I have zero skills when it comes to molds and resin!

BTW, Matt posted a link at Starship Modeler w/more pics:

Congrats Jeff! I couldn't be more happy this worked out the way it did. And on one note about this to everyone, after talking to Jeff and knowing who all is involved with this project (naaa na na na naaaaTongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]) expect a high quality kit.

He also mentioned that his 1/1000 DS9 Defiant will again be available thru Starship Modeler at some point in the not-too-distant future.  He also has plans for releasing two other TOS Movie Era kits he was working on producing, tho I don't recall what he said in the way of timeframe for them - sometime this year, tho.

Well thanks for bringing them over. Haven't seen Matt here for a while, I'm sure he's busy. And selling them through the SSM store will insure great customer service. I'd like a nice line-up of alien ships, SFB style.

Oh, yeah.  Someone else is definitely going to be casting and selling this puppy, trust me.  Someone whom I have a great deal of trust and faith in who's said he wants to get it back out on the market as quickly as he can.  I know it'll eventually be availble thru Starship Modeler, tho am unsure of a price or if it'll be available thru any other retailers.  Final price all depends on the amount of rubber and time put in to molding/demolding.  This is only a guesstimate on my part, but prolly in the $50 to $65 price range.

Oh, and you're welcome on the pics, but I can't claim credit for them.  That's Matt/Max Zephyr's site and his pics.

1/1000 K'T'Inga Resin Kit

Just thought that I'd share some news that, to me, is kind of exciting.

"Max Zephyr" at Starship Modelers forums had, at one time, been working on mastering several kits in 1/1000 scale for the Star Trek line.  One of them was a Polar Lights D-7 that he heavily modified - or K'T'Inga-fied - based off the Klingon battlecruiser from ST:TMP.  For one reason or another, that particular model was never cast and ended up getting set off to the side.  Pics here.

Well, recently, he offered it up for sale and I happend to be the lucky guy to make a deal w/him on it.  I just finalized the deal w/Matt ("Max") and sent final payment for the kit.  Once I receive and inspect it, I'll be sending it off to someone else who is in-turn buying it from me.  No clue how long it'll be before this is kitted and for sale, but it should easily be before Christmas.   Whistling [:-^]

Anyhow, just wanted to share in the news!   Thumbs Up [tup]
