Looking for instructions
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 21, 2003 10:02 AM
I've picked up a 'junk lot' box full of assorted model parts but no instructions for anything. It looks like I have the majority of parts for several models but I'm wondering if anyone can help me out by scanning some instructions for me. The kits are:

Star Trek - Deep Space Nine - U.S.S. Defiant
Star Trek - First Contact - U.S.S. Enterprise
Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire - Xizor's Virago

If anyone has instructions that they could scan for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Also, if you could either just email or post first letting me know you have them so I can give you a different email address to actually send them to. Thanks.

Hi Ray,
I can't help ya out with any scans, but wouldn't a website of kit instructions be cool? Tongue [:P]

Heck, the companies themselves should post them! Along with building tips and whatnot...Maybe that's asking too much!

Sorry I couldn't help you!Disapprove [V]

That would be awesome!!

I think that would go a long way toward promoting the hobby. What do they have to lose? People are still going to have to buy the kits. If it weren't for copyright issues and everything else, I'd look into doing something like that myself but....maybe I should anyways and see how long it takes for the vultures, I mean, lawyers to come knockin on my door. Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]

Ray,
Check out starshipmodeler.com. they have an instruction sheet library. I'd scan you my Defiant copy but my scanner doesn't seem to like line drawings.

I just looked there, they only have Excelsior. You might try asking on the SM Star Trek forum, I'm sure someone will help.
