Thanks all for the kind words. My son did in fact like it very much. Well back to aircraft for now.

from Bandai that will be the injection kit
I think this is one of their HG line-up

if anyone's interested there are bunch of injection/resin/vinyl kits out on Evangelion and I'm talking about the mechas only here ^ ^

Wow!  I don't much care for anime, but that's one very nicely done model subject!  Is that a styrene kit or a vinyl kit?

stepping out of the box

Good day folks

I normally post to the aircraft forum but I've taken to stepping out of the box for a bit of a change. My son picked up this kit a a swap meet. I believe it's a Neon Genisis Eva-03 figure. I don't know much about it but he asked me to build it for him, it looked interesting, I like the shape and colors so I said why not. Don't know what scale either. It' s made by Bandai.  It's a fairly simple build. Lots of mold lines to clean up.  The painting was a bit trickey. I decided to paint the white areas first, then use Glad press and seal as a masking medium, the I painted it MM flat black out of a rattle can. I accented the outtlines with a grey oil pencil and sealed with MM satin finish. The rear spinal area is MM chrome silver with Tamiya Clear blue over it.  It was a refreshing build. There's another one he has an EVA-05 that's in white which I've started. I just might be hooked..! Anyway please enjoy.
