Because RC2 is a die cast company. With the Ertl line and the Johnny Lightning line they got what they really wanted out of the deal. We on the other hand just have to sit and wait for the next Polar Lights to come along.

Why didn't they just buy the johnny lightning series frome them? Why couldnt they just let us have our cake? I bet it's because of all the bad things that have been said about ertl kits since polar lights started running the show.

Not going to happen from RC2. They seem to have stopped all the plastic kit production and have no plans for anything new. So if there ever is to be one keep an eye out for it in resin kit form.

the kit wont be released unless someone else makes it. RC2 bought the license from polar lights only to discontinue the star trek kits.
