Enterprise (project almost done)

A little background on this project if you didn't see it posted originally. Almost two years ago I started a scratch build of the (TMP) Enterprise in 1:1000 scale. Will, that original build was scraped except for the nacelles and rebuilt from the ground up. It took awhile to gather some better  information on the correct saucer shape (mainly the bottom side) before it looked the way it should. In all it took three trys at turning the one piece saucer and at least that many on the secondary hull before the shapes came out.
What you see in the pic is the assembled resin casting of that scratch build. It will still take several days of painting and decals before I can call it good. Now that I have the assembled piece I will be able to get the art work ready to have decals printed. In a few weeks she should finaly by done wooohooo! After that I'll be able to put up some great detail pics and close ups.

Yeah all on my lonesomesBig Smile [:D]. But like I said the one in the pics is a copy of the one I built. I'm keeping the original in parts. I'll be using copies of those parts for other versions and other ships. Next up is the Reliant. I'll be using copies of the saucer and nacelles to add to the primary hull extention I've been plugging along at this week.

Here are some of the others  I've scratch built in 1:1000 scale:
Defiant

Grissom

Stargazer

This one is a heavily modified PL D7 kit
KTINGA

More pics of any of these can be seen on my site in the Trek section.

She's looks great from what I can see in the pics, Matt! Can't wait to order one. Smile [:)]

Hopefully, Dave/Blappy will get that 1/1000 D-7M/K'T'Inga molded shortly and the two ships you mastered will be able to duke it out.  Well, if only in my hobby room, I guess.

Thanks Jeffrey. No doubt, it will make for a great pair. I think David was all geared up and got slamed with the Fit and Griz so had to back burner things. Hopefully not to long I still want to build that one.
