Above is my 1st Gundam Kit. It's called Big Zam. It's a 1/550 scale Bandai kit I picked up at a show. I think it's from about 1981. I usually build armor, but this looked like a nice change. It's strait from the box and painted with MM enamels  and Floquil RR color's. Any comments good or bad are valued.

Great work for a first build Matt...

Now its time to enter the confussing but enjoyable world of mobile suites!.. Once you start, its hard not to get hooked!..

Thanks for sharing the Big Zam!

Nice job on an rather unusual looking subject.  I just started my 2nd Gundam this week.  They are kinda fun, nice and straight forward, no real baggage involved.  I don't know crap about the subject matter, but I'm having fun.

I could not agree more, I'm having fun too.

Chris: Your right about getting hooked, I'm now keeping an eye out for these now.

Thanks for the comments and feedback.

Great job on a old kit! The Big Zam has always been my favorite Gundam Mobile armor.

"You have just taken the first steps into a much larger world"---Obi Wan (sort of)

Great build! That design has always given me the creeps though. Reminds me of a martian Tripod from War of the Worlds. Armor to mobile suits are a great transition. Check out what I did with this Patlabor kit and a Gundam Leopard with what I learned over in the armour forum...
