Photo Etching for a VF-1
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, September 1, 2003 5:20 PM
Hello to all the Macross/Robotech fans out there. Just wanted to ask if any one has possibly tried using the Hasegawa Photo Etch kit for the VF-1 Valkyries. Also, do you know of a place in Canada that it can be ordered from?

I have used them and they are great additions to an already great kit. But keep in mind that you will not be able to adjust the wing sweep if you uset the "wing glove" part. Most FSM types wouldn't care for moving gimmicks like that anyway.

I can't help you on the the Canada thing. But I hear that the PE parts are becoming hard to find. Espeacially after Hasegawa has discontinued the VF-1 fighter form kits.

When were the fighter form kits discontinued? They are fairly easy to get a hold of

Hasegawa made the announcement a few months ago. There really is no worry about getting ahold of them though. There really is a ton of kits on store shelves. The Battroids and Macross Plus stuff is still in production.
