Chris, not sure how I missed this thread, but I am awed at the beauty of your paint job.  Really top notch.  Well done my friend.

Well, I made the last post on the G/B thread on the 25th. Found it & of course, Amanda Bothe admitted she "accidently" moved it. Dunce [D)]Go figure.

It hasnt moved.. It has just slipped down the thread list as there has been no activity.. It would seem that there are more interesting builds happening, and the lack of interest in our group has shown..  Simple as that!

would be nice to be able to find the thread, eventhough there are only a few people participating..

IMHO, a small group is still a group, so no reason to cancel it or anything..  and i really dont understand why it was moved too...

I've been noticing that there seems to be all of 1 hand in the G/B. IT would be nice to see it take off

but, just doesn't seem to be much interest in it for some reason or another. I know I'm kinda slow

on getting my build out & deciding "which kit" to buildBanged Head [banghead] Thinkin' a 1/2500 E....

Been busy with the PT Boat G/B & daily life stuff.

Hey joey.. I think it has found its way to the second page of the group build thread.. Hippy Ed and I cant keep finding things to talk about, just to keep the thing alive.. Other people need to check in from time to time.. As I keep saying. I would really love to see a Star Trek group build take off.. But no one is interested in it.. There is only a handfull of people that have posted.. Chris

Good question Chris, Alot of people slow down and "Rubberneck" at an accident scene yet, not many would stop to assistDisapprove [V]

I think that here in SciFi is  many are curious yet, afraid to take the plunge into the vast regions of  Space....

Hey guys.. I have been doing a little bit of a study since I posted the last set of pics..

Everyone states that the sci-fi section is kinda quiet, and nobody visits it very often, and I always felt that it simply wasnt the case.

So when I posted those pics, I made a mental note of there being 810 people that had viewed this thread at the time of me posting the last set of pictures.. As I post this message now, there is 969 people that have visited this thread.. I am not doing an Admiral Grasshopper and  saying that everyone must love me.. But I just feel, as I always have. That the sci-fi section gets way more visitors as we thought. Problem is.. Why dont they post?

Chris..

Thanks Bud, appreciate it...

I am really happy with it, except for the domes.

We're into fall now and our skies here in Stockton,Calif have been dark & threatening to rain but, haven't opened up yet. Wish it would tho!!

It's rare getting snow here at 29 feet. Not  impossible tho

Looks Sharp Chris!! Seems that you're getting a "touch" of the aztec in the pics but, it is subdued by the lighting. Maybe a trip out side would do the trick? She's a Beaut & the panel lines look great!!Thumbs Up [tup]

Well guys, I have finally completed her!..

Ok, before we get to the pics, I will say that I still need to build the base for her, and that I have taken the latest pictures with her still sitting on my E-D's base....  Also, I wasnt happy with the domes, and so they have since been taken off and I am re-doing them.. I didnt put enough blades on them, and so have been given refrence as to how to do them properly.. Will post newer pictures when they are done.. I have also been going through my spare parts to find something tht can simulate clamps holding the domes to the engines..  Anyways, here are a few pics, so enjoy...

This is my favourite pic.. You can see the aztec on the belly..

Oops.. Forgot to paint the nav lights under the saucer..

One thing that isannoying me is, that in person. The aztec stands out wonderfully, and brings a real contras to the overall surface of the model.. But for the life of me, no matter wha settings I use, or I light the room. I cant get it to show up.. Anyways, hope you like what you see..

Hey SoD, Welcome....

I loved your last comment.. That would make around my brothers age.. I am but a pup, and it was the late 70's that I found the show..Whistling [:-^]

Although I always like the original.. I was always sad at the fact that with all of the technology we have today, and the effects we have all seen.. The original always seemed way out dated to me, and O I lost interest in it.. Then when I saw the Defiant in Enterprise's "A Mirror Darkly" and then they started the Enhanced series.. I have become a fan of the old show again.. It really was way ahead off its time..

As for the group build. I am sure all the other guys will be glad that you want to join in.. SO I suggest going over to the group build page and find the Star Trek thread and introduce yourself..

As for my Enterprise. I got this Cut-Away from a friend. but they are about the place.. Just not cheap anymore.. For an 18" original, they can get up to $100 here in Japan, but I aways keep my eye out.. A Cut-Away here can fetch the same price. But I havnt seen too many..

Lastly.. Good to see another modeler that isnt a slave to sci Fi modelling..  You sound like me.. Actually after I complete this TOS and the E-D I am working on.. I plan to build another MiG29UB in German or Polish colours.. I did one last year, and I was never happy with it.. SO that will give me a rest from sci-fi, so I will be refreshed for the group build...

Looks sweet, Chris! Keep up the good work!

Hey, count me in for the next SF GB; I'm all over the place, also, as far as what I feel like building at any given time. One month I'll be focused on aircraft, the next month I'm working on one of my armor kits, and the month after that (like this month), I'll be doing SF (I'm right in the middle of an X-Wing & an AT-AT at the moment; the X-Wing's for me, the AT-AT's for my son). And I've been dying to do an original NCC-1701 Enterprise, I just can't find one; where did you get yours?

Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic] And, fortunately (or unfortunately), I'm old enough to have watched the shows when they originally aired back in the late sixties, but I didn't really get into STTOS until it got syndicated in the '70's.
