1/24th Scale Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex

I was wondering if anyone has built this kit by Wave and if so did they have any problems? I was thinking of building mine with a licht weathering as they seemed to be taken pretty good care of in the series except when they got totally wasted by something bigger then there wasn't much left.

Anyone have any ideas as to if the paint would be gloss, semi-gloss or flat? I'm leaning towards a semi-gloss to eggshell type finish as the I believe it would take to weathering what little there is better and be a little more realistic.

thanks for any input or ideas.

Everybody I know have painted it gloss. The biggest debate I've ran across is whether the eye's are white or dull aluminum. There are some minor fit issues and some scribing dillema's. The way the rear pod goes together it puts a seam where this is none, so you have to fill and sand (fill and sand, the story of my life). Then re-scribe the doors and bottom. Then there is the 3 hole sensor set on the front of the pod. I just filled everything and carefully drilled the eye's back in. And be careful with the fingers. 4 of mine were broke when I got the kit but careful work with some Tennax put everythign back together.
