Lunar Models still around?
Posted by J-Hulk on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 12:43 PM
Hi, folks!Smile [:)]
Quite a few years ago I built a few kits from Lunar Models (16" Martian War Machine, li'l trio of MWM's, 8" Jupiter II) and was wondering if that company was still producing kits.
I believe the main guy was named Jim Key, but I could be way wrong.

Any info on what's up with this outfit these days?

Mike Evans started LM way back when. Many have followed. The site has been updated no and then but I don't know how easy it is to get stuff.
Jim Key runs a model making shop, Custom Replicas.

Thanks, Ignatz!
Why did I think Mr. Key had anything to do with LM? Did he start there, perhaps?

He may have mastered a bunch of their offerings. But I think LM is on its third or fourth owner now. It's beginning to look like a football and is getting hard to follow! Mike Evans has a new company now, Alchemy Woprks at http://mikethealchemist.com/ . He's marketing an epoxy putty and offering molding/casting services.
