I used this on a 1/48 LEM.  Worked out well.

A cheaper and easier (not to mention yummier) solution is gold foil from candy bars.

The Mylar on the LM had a couple of different hues. One was gold, the other had a bit of an orangey tint to the gold. For the gold, you'll not do better than the foil wrapping that comes on Cadbury chocolate bars. If you buy one of the big bars, you'll have enough foil for several 1/72nd-scale LMs.

For the foil with an orangey tint, get a roll of Rollo chocolate candies.

Don't eat everything in one sitting, though....

Gift wrap.  I found a very thin gold foil once at Zellers store (Walmart could have it too)
No matter where you go ....... there you are.

Hi

Building the 1:72 Airfix Lunar Module at the moment. What is a good a material to simulate the yellow foil on the legs and lower half of the LM?

Thanks
