[Finished] 1/144 Gunpla Diorama project
Posted by dj898 on Saturday, December 16, 2006 4:11 AM
This is one of dio that I've been building for a long time.
Some of you may notice that the base itself is the one from 1/220 Jaburo Diorama kit from Bandai. I got the base from someone I know along with the name tag and it gave me an idea to build the dio but using 1/144 kits instead.

I used HGUC GM and Z'Gok and instead of often depicted GM had its torso pierced by Char's Z'Gok I decided to depict reversed scene where GM had its hand penertrating Z'Gok. Sure it won't be Char's Z'Gok though I used Char's Z'Gok HGUC kit.

Many thing caused the delay and often I had to put this one aside to do other things...
Anyhow, finally it's pretty much close to finish. All that's left to do are washing and weatheirng on Z'Gok - I had to repaint it twice - plus some minor correction on GM...

I'm still working on the river... it's very shallow moulded one and don't have much depth to simulate the water realistically using clear resin or water magic. I will have to try different method...

That is pretty cool.. It looks like a dio that was on display here in Kitakyushu at Space World when they had the Gundam exibit on show during the summer of last year..

Very cool...

Great reversal on the theme! I have the Char Z'Gok and its nice, how is the GM? Looks like great posability, is this by chance one of the newer 1/144 GM's that is mroe posable?

Will you be adding any markings to the kits?

Have a great one, thanks for sharing!

David

I must admit I know next to nothing about gundam and other 'mech' (if that is the term) sci-fi vehicles, but that positioning, with the hand smashing through the other ones chest looks absolutely awesome!  It would be cool if there were some loose wires and stuff hanging out of the hole, if there really is wires inside those huge things.  Keep it up, can't wait to see more!

Well this has been sitting on my "To Do" shelf long enough.
Since last time haven't had time to touch it and it was sitting and gathering the dust...

Well finally I dragged it out to finish it off once and for all!
Last time I did overdone the dry brushing so I adjusted Z'Gok and also clean up the GM as well.
Still there's the weathering to be done plus minor detailing up...
Also lay down the base colour as well as river bits...
This is still WIP and may change again - thinking of making one of the pillar much bigger than it is now though that could potentially block the view from certain angle~
