My Finished Kits for Year 2006
Posted by dj898 on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 10:56 PM
Thanks(?) to Bazookafied's idea I'd like to put the kits that I've finished for this year. ^__^
Looking at them now it seems I've been rather busy bee for this year as well... To be honest some of these kits I started since last year and I have several that I'm working on at the moment and won't be finished till sometime next year. With family life and all nowadays the usual build time is several months if not a year per kit... oh well...

By the way these are all 1/100 kits.
[Did not include the almost finished and/or kits/diorama I built for someone else]

Great looking builds.

I really like the Powered GM and the Dom just looks bad with the panzerfaust.

I don't know a thing about "gundam" or "mech" builds but I always thought they were pretty cool.  Easily my favorite is Dom Cold Climate.  Especially on the legs you did some perfect weathering, making it look whitewashed and even a little frosty ith jsut a touch of rust.  Very nice Job!

--EDIT-- on the "normal" (pink) Dom, how did you do those incredible paint chips?

Nice works.  Is that the old MG RX-78-2 with OYW decals?  n is the Powered GM a conversion set or the new MG one?

cheers

that on the normal Dom is what they call chipping in the military modelling.

it's quite simple really. All you need is using a fine brush and put the small amount of paint on the various area like those are scratched away... The hard part is when to stop before it's overdone. ^__^

No it's MG Gundam OYW version with v1.5 torso.

And Powered GM is the semi modified MG GM Kai+Ako Hobby Conv Kit.
