Hey,

Nice work there. The Aztek stands out nicely not like a sore-thumbWink [;)].

Hey, that really does look nice and clean.. Making me feel guilty.. I have mine half built packed in a box ready to ship.. Not leaving Japan until the end of the year, but I really dont want to finish it until I am settled... Finishing it now is pointless, as it will be harder to transport..

Love the pics too.. The whole thing looks well done..

Cheers, Chris

Here are the most recent shots of the Lower Saucer Section Aztek pattern.  The Planetary Sensor array will receive it's final colors tomorrow.  Enjoy !  Click on the images to enlarge.

Go ahead and clutter the thread with pics.  I don't know if I speak for anyone else but I like it when modelers post pics in their threads.

And the Aztec...it looks really good.

I'm using Floquil's "Dust" which is found in the model railroad paint section.  A few quick passes with the airbrush put down just enough to give it that subtle look.  If you can't come across "Dust", use Floquil's "Reefer White" and cut it with 10% distilled H2O.

The Aztek is a combination of Art Pendragon's downloaded patterns, Aztek Dummy, and my own masked creations.

Yeah...I fly 737's out of PHX.

Here's a picture my brother took of me taking off from LAS a couple of months ago with the new paint:

<edit> I don't mean to appear arrogant by posting a pic like this but not many people get to post pics of themselves flying!

Not to sound totally rude but I favor pics in the thread aswell, especially when it comes to having to copy and paste a link for each picture. It looks really good but I honestly had to think about it before copying and pasting the url, too many times I get stuck at a site that doesn't like to let you click the back button or overwhelms you with pop ups even tho your pop up blocker is on.

Thanks!  I finished one last year and dove right into this one.  It should be done by months end.  Then I have a 46" DeBoer Enterprise to do.

A few more shot of the progress:

The Aztek Dummy templates are cut out in sections, patterns plucked, and an application of Glad "Press & Seal" is placed over the template.  This keeps the template from folding over while applying it to the surface.  The template is removed and airbrushing is done from there.

Few more shots with the Secondary Hull just about completed.  Just a few more smaller details and it's on to the nacelles.

Very nice! Very subtle, yet stands out enough to see.

The Nacelle pictures with the patterns on them.  Took about 21 hours to complete these.  The camera doesn't do justice to the overall view of the pattern work which changes in contrast with light and angle of view.  Enjoy!

Everything is done except for the bottom phaser bank decals and the application of dull coat .  Some of the windows in the photos below are already masked off.  The model should be on the base by next week!  Enjoy
