Wonderfest Roll Call
Posted by rossjr on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 8:01 AM

Not too early to start some discussion about who's going?

I got my room reserved and I will have a pretty full car.  Now I just have to start thinking about getting something done to bring with, if nothing else to show off at the pool party.

Who else is coming?

I've had my Leave request put in since November and finally got my reservations made back in December.  I'm getting a suite that will be host to a total of seven of us, tho most of the other guys aren't members here, tho do frequent Starship Modeler and The 2500 Page Forums.  Four of the others are from the North or the East Coast, but one of them is coming all the way from Auckland (New Zealand)!

Anyhow, gonna be there from Thursday afternoon thru Monday morning.

I really hope I can make it. WF 05 was the most fun I've had in a long while.

Trying to work it out now, unfortunately, I have three construction jobs that need my attention and three new kits I'm getting ready for production. I would LOVE to meet some of the friendly people that have been so helpfull in helping me get my business going!

I am so excited....  I just saw over on SSM that Matthew Usher will be attending Wonderfest this year!  It'll be great to finally put a face and a name together.  Maybe even buy the guy a beer.....

Matt, if your schedule permits, please plan on attending Sci-Fi U.  It's the Friday before usually between 9-3 in the room next to the restaurant and the Money God.....  We have sessions on wethering, painting with transparent colors and painting with templates just to name a few of the sessions.

Then, later that night you can join us for Iron Modeler.....

Can't wait to see you there...

Since my last post I have had to scrap one model that was halfway thru to completion due to work and I my just barely get the others done before we load up and leave for Wonderfest in Louisville. The up side is tha tI will now be able to consentrate on it later when I get back home and start to finnish it. The others are almost done and with good luck I can probably have 99% done by Thursday or Friday night if needed. I just wish I could have had the time I needed to get them all done.

Last year I was flying on a pair of my frequent flyer tickets.  It was nice to arrive in just a few hours, even with a connection in Cincinnati.  This year it's back to the driving again.  12 hours in the car and I don't even want to think what gas is going to cost.  Good thing there is 4 of us to split the cost....

It was great meeting everyone there who was able to make it this year.  Well, the only one on this thread whom said they were going that I didn't meet or see again was RogueJ.  Most everyone else but John/rossjr stopped by the Unofficial Starship Modeler BLAP!Fest Suite, tho I talked with John and his son Chris at least twice during the much-too-fast weekend.

Let's do it again next year!  Party [party]
