Very, very nice! Kit bashing these PL kits is almost becoming a craze. Anyone built a dreadnought yet?Cool [8D]

Excellent Work!

This is a great modification! It's very interesting to see what can be done with a $7.99 *snap-fit* kit. How long did the Coventry take you to build? Any other "non-mainstream" Star Trek modifications coming from your workshop?

During assembly, did you actually do the snapping or did you trim those parts off and use glue? Can you give me a quick run-down on how you created the parts of the hull that weren't in the kit?

Thanks and I look forward to seeing what else you have in store!

Kugai, all starship questions may be answered at on of two places.

The Surya is in the latter, under frigates:

Damn, John! This makes PL kitbash #2 & it looks just as good as the first one! Keep up the good work.

Looks great!

Since you're doing the Coventry, I take it you're familiar with the Surya and am wondering if you could help me. I'd like to build one but I don't have a forward view to make sure that I get the angles of the pylons correct. Do you know of any references that include the Surya's front view?

Very clean build, John! Keep 'em coming, and hope you weren't hit too hard by the 'cane. I know how tough it can be.

I took down my little photo stand in the basement in case of hurricane flooding on Friday or Saturday. So here's a quick shot without the proper background or lighting. I'll do a proper series of shots once the Big Wind blows thru.

Based on the design from Ships of the Star Fleet Vol 1. Illustration can be found here:
