I am finally getting some nice decals put onto my Kempfer, taken from the Samuel Decals Kempfer decals sheet and some various bits, mainly from a new sheet I just got in from HobbyLinkJapan. This sheet is a pretty generic aircraft type sheet with warning stencils, placarding, etc. The funny thing is, when you read it, it looks like text taken from aircraft magazines!!!
One decal (its pretty small) says (in heavy black box border) "the first prototype XI-486 flew on the 20th and performed at Farnbarough in August of that year" while another innoccusly states that residents with an aviation interest would gladly be knocked over by a buccs shockwave.
Another proclaims that "along with the small intakes, development of the aircraft continued with subtle differences" and yet another with a access plate warns the technician that "7th of March at RNAS Lionmouth thus beginnning the base's33 times association with the Bucc".
Obviously this funny stuff is taken from a entusiast magazine or portfolio book....it looks great on the decal, its not all continuous carrier sheet like some other decals are, but it sure is funny to read this stuff. I gues finding some real, legit text and warnings in English was a bit daunting, so text was lifted from another source. Funny stuff! I wonder if anyone will be able to read this tiny black text on my white Kempfer!!!!! ????!!!!
