Wasn't the original X-wing kit 1/48?

The Fine Molds Star Wars kits are in 1/72nd scale not 1/48th.

The kits available at SSM are from the same masters the SMT used.  They were created by Alfred Wong and they are decent kits.  While the original X-wing kit from MPC/Ertl was about 1/48th scale, they also made two other verisions, a snap together kit that is close to 1/72nd and a lights and sound version that is close to 1/32nd.

While the 1/48th scale stuff is nice, I would be happy if Fine Molds would release more in any of the Star Wars universe.  They do a great job with the detail and it's nice to have everything in the same scale.
