? Miranda Class Aztec in PDF format ?
Posted by MrSquid2U on Friday, April 6, 2007 1:05 AM

I have a friend at a sign shop who can utilize a PDF file with their cutting machine and make an Aztec template for my AMT/ERTL Reliant but so far I've only found a 'free' pattern in JPG format.

Is anyone aware of a 'free' PDF pattern source on the Web?

Thanks

With Acrobat you can "print" the jpg format into a PDF file.

My PC is currently barely limping along and Acrobat is one of the casualties. Until I can scrape together the funds to give it (the PC) a well deserved 'tune-up' I was hoping someone might know of a source for the PDF?

But thank you for taking the time to reply!

send the jpg file to me at dnatech@yahoo.com and I will convert it for you and send it back as a pdf file.

Steve,

There's the beauty of the forum in action! Thanks for your kind offer to help my Reliant get that much closer to being properly dressed!

FYI:

This is the first time in quite awhile that I dipped into my two boys' stash of Trek models. They're both excited to see it's progress so far. It's fully painted but we all decided together that since it isn't lit up it at least deserves the addition of Aztec'ng. Seeing me bring this kit out of the closet has reignited their original interest from when they started collecting the models and while we all originally built a few together there must be at least two dozen more that await being revived. I couldn't help myself since I watched the DVD season collections of too many episodes while cable was out! Wish I still had my camera to share but it mysteriously "grew legs" and walked away on it's own?

Thanks again!

Hi MrSquid2U. Here is a link to a program I think you might find helpful. It is to Openoffice.org from Sun. This is a free program that includes a wordprocessor that has the ability ot export a document as a .PDF file. In the past I have used this program to to create PDF files from scans of instruction sheets. You just have to insert your picture file into a document and then export it as a PDF. It is a very large download but I think the capabilities of the program are worth it.

Here is the link.... http://www.openoffice.org/

(Edited to correct the link)

I hope this is of use to you.

'Davros',

While I'll look at that later I want to go ahead and say thank you for sharing that information. I've already dropped a PDF file off at my friends' sign shop and he's looking it over to see what he can do, although he foresaw no problems. It seems he used to own (maybe he still does?)the donut shop next door and being such a regular there he recognized me and offered his assistance even though it's a much smaller task than what they usually do!

It pays to eat donuts!!!Dinner [dinner]

Thanks again.
