Space above and beyond

I have been planning on making a model of the "Tank" in the episode "Pearly" from the series "Space Above and Beyond" (that sure is a lot of quotes).  I finally decide that it was based on the M-41 Walker Bulldog or M-42 Duster.  Most likely the Duster there seem to be more of them around.  I was wonder if anyone has stills of it.  I can what the show Over and Over again with the pause button but I thought I would ask first.

I dug out my tape of this episode and I think they used a British APC for Pearly. To my eyes it looks like an FV432 (our equiv to the M113) was used. Pearly had 5 road wheels and a front drive sprocket just like the FV432.

Here is a link to some details of the FV432...

GAARRRRG

I thought I had that one now I will have to go back with this picture (Thanks By the way) and look again.

You don't know if there are any models of it?  It really does look much more like Pearly.

The only ones I know are the resin ones by Accurate Armour. The cheapest one, of their range, is £55,31 + tax in the EC. That's, roughly, $115 (US) plus whatever delivery charges might apply.

Here is the range... http://www.accurate-armour.com/showaaproducts.cfm?category=3&subcategory=5

I just wish that some company would do a plastic kit.

Well maybe I'll wait on that one.  Thanks for the info.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for the identity of Pearly, but there are some identity marks that place her as an APC that is no longer used by the US Army.

Examples to compare between Pearly and an M75, is the wheel/bogey setup, the upper exhaust port (which the show attempted to disguise), the vents on the right and left side of the vehicle and the door on the front right side of the vehicle. The cupolas on Pearly also match the locations found on the upper hull of the M75. There are a few other identifying marks as well, but  they were harder to match.

What would be neat, is to know where Pearly is right now, is it in a museum, being used for other movies and shows, or is she in a scrap heap somewhere waiting to be re-used.

The show was filmed in Australia and used an ex-Australian FV432 (British Commonwealth APC) dressed to look like a futuristic tank. It's one of the most common modern AFVs privately owned and many are chopped up and modified for movie purposes to replicate German tanks, etc.
