I'll vote.

Too bad the show fizzled out.

They are releasing the "new tooled" original Viper Cylon fighter and Cylon baseship late this month. Ordered mine from monsters in motion, I think squadron also has them.

Actually, they're already available for purchase at a variety of places and have been for about two or three weeks now.

But where is the Galactica reissue? Not to be found yet.

The battlestar kit needs to be re-tooled in the worst way to make it more accurate.  The kit as it currently exists - as of the 1996 re-release of the R-M kits - needs a LOT of extra work to make it more accurate.  As it stands it's just a basic representation of the battlestar.

Anyhow, the best we can hope for is that all of these kits sell well and that R-M will decide to make a new master for the TOS battlestar - and while they're at it have masters made for all of the main TNS ships, as well.

I haven't been paying a lot of attention to modelling the last few months (other interests, I guess), but I was net surfing & saw that the original kits had been reissued.

I went to the local shop & bought a Viper & a Raider even though I had them from the last reissue.  They were $30 each.  I knew I could get them cheaper online, but I figured it's good to support the local shop.

I went to the Hobbico site & suggested kits from the new series.  I made sure I mentioned that I had purchased the kits.  I also suggested a 1/350 to 1/600 Normandie ocean liner, but I think I'll have better luck with BSG.

Yes, it's from August. I hadn't posted here since June so was seeing what I'd missed since then.  None of those from just a week or so ago that you had recently pulled up caught my interest, but this and a few others that were older had caught my interest did, thus I commented on them. Sounds Grate!!

I hope they really listen to those who do vote... with the upgrade re-release BSG models they are a grade below i had hoped for.
I talked to a rep at IPMS show this past 07". and it was like pulling teeth. about what might happen with BSG.
Now the new series! . any build is or can be a grate build, but if you can't afford resin, or the best upgrade kits. then if enough voices are heard. those builds can be made.
but , like trek;

those were older reissues. with the market only looking to collect them. not totally just build them. if they create a line that fees the need to build. Like MKll or three viper kits all in scale respective. both the good guys and BAD.
1978 is an example of BSG models grate fun. but not in scale to each other ....

any fix it a good Fir.. if you can afford the kit.

Ertl responded well to requests for new Trek kits in the '90s.  Maybe it could work with these guys.

I voted on this a while back.  Looks like it's still valid, as well!  Go cast your suggestions to help us get models from the New BSG!

oh god lets hope not!! those Trek kits were the absolute pits in detail and fit. I know I have a nice lineup of them on shelves at the house.....If you are interested in current Galactica wares, and dont mind smaller resin kits, check out minimodelmadness.com
