Mad Cat

Ok I have been trying to find some "plans" to build a Mad Cat from Mechwarrior.  I know that there is a kit from armorcast but I am not going to pay that much for a model (unless I win the lottory...I will also hire someone to check my spelling).

Sorry got off topic.  Any way I found this somehow on the web http://my.dreamwiz.com/papermech/fmain.htm

and I am going to use it as a basis.  I printed the sheets and built one.  Mine is about 25 centimeters high.  I found some info that a "real" Mad Cat is 10.5 meters high.  I think that this is about 1/48 scale.  Does this sound right?  1050 cm divided by 48 is about 22 cm.  I would like to know because I am going to buy a cockpit to go with it.

Any input, answers, advice, etc. would be appreciated.

Grizz

PS I am going to make a more detailed one out of plastic, putty, brass, etc.

Denial, it's not just a coping mechanism, it's a way of life.

I've got the Horizon 1/35 MadCat and that is just over 30cm high so your calcs are spot on...the great thing about these paper 'kits' is that they are so easily to rescale to whatever scale you want - just have to reinforce them some more for the bigger scales...wouldn't it be so cool to be able to drop that Trump Fw-200 on the phtocopier and upsize it to 1/24...?
