I think it may be a bit longer than that. Blizzard was indicating that they don't reckon that it will be ready for a proper Beta until 2008, and they are known for being a bit late on releases. The graphics look sweet from the clips and screenshots I've seen though.

That said, I love the new build. Good job!

Well, I'm not really a sci-fi person, but this guy just looks too cool.  He should be pretty recognizable to anyone familiar with Starcraft.  Anyways it's a 1/30 kit by Academy of a terran marine.  It is built out of box, except for the tons of declas, which were spares from (mostly) german armor, plus I gave him some shell wounds with a heated paper clip.  I also switched his "groin piece" because I liked the look, and hey, there's no rivet-counting-detail-freaks in sci-fi.   I was going to have his visor up, because I thought the human head made him look more like a soldier than a "mech" or robot, which I'm not really into.  However my face painting was abominable, and I had some cool bronze paint to try out, so hey, why not.  Painting went as follows:

Painting went as follows:

1. Airbrushing with Games Workshop Regal Blue.

2. Airbrushed lightened coat of GW Regal BLue mixed with Skull White.

3.  Coat of Future, then decals, then a sealer coat of Future.

4.  Oil paint "dot" method for a streaky look, using windsor and newton "yellow ochre" and "raw sienna".

5.  Future coat

6.  Black wash

7. Detail painting, and then dull coat

8.  Pigments for rust and dust

Hope you like him, he's my first figure other than 1/35 guys thrown together to go with my tanks.  Any comments/criticism, is greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Ian.
