I did get a chance to see too many TAS episodes.  I only saw maybe 3 or 4 episode.  They seemed to be on when my mean old mom refuse to have TV on.  It rotted that brian, supposedly.  I wish I could find a DVD or may be Boomerage would pick it up and show them.

Hemble, nice work.  It looks like it belongs in an episode of TOS.

Hi All

Woody - Cheers mate glad you liked it, It does help the smaller kits with the detailed decal sheets you can buy, they sure do help.

Beautifully done! Great paint work and when you consider the small scale it's all the more impressive.

Hi All

Black Sedan - Thanks for the reply very much appreciated, the length is just under 11cm, I would have loved to 1/350 scale but as you said way to big especially if you want to do more.

Very nice work Hemble!

That looks every part a ship from TOS. What is the over-all length? I am building the 1/350 NX-01 and that thing is a monsterous 2 feet long... way to long to build anything in that scale again.

U.S.S ACTION TROOP-TRANSPORT 1/2500 scale

Hi All

I've been wanting to do Trek ships for a long time now but didn't want to do the bigger scale ships as they take up way to much space so when I picked up the AMT Enterprise 3 piece kit I knew that it was this scale(1/2500) that  wanted to do as they are small enough to make a number of ships without taking up heaps of space, Also with the great decals you can get on the market your ship can look as good as the bigger kits. Once the kit was built I sprayed it with Tamiya's Haze Grey and then drybrushed it with GW's 2 part mix of Codex Grey and Space Wolves Grey as I wanted to give it a older style feel.

RECIPE

Base - The base is from GW I drilled a hole in the middle and used plasti-card for the mount and drilled a hole in the bottom of the ship.

Ship - The ship is the TOS Enterprise from the Enterprise 3 piece kit I used the sensor and mount and attached that to the new secondary hull which is plasti-card with cardboard attached to the ends.

Decals - The decals are from Gizmotron Models which I got from http://www.federationmodels.com/ and I was very impressed with them especially never doing a model in this size the decals are a great way to give you the detail you want without having to do it yourself.
