'32 Chopped Duece X wing on ARCAIR
Posted by PatlaborUnit1 on Thursday, January 10, 2008 11:18 AM

This week is Silly Week over at ARCAIR (http://www.arcair.com/) and you get some fantastic builds this time of year.  Alvis 3.1 is a fantastic, imaginitive builder. I howled at his 37-37B|337 7w33y (ET-337 Leet Tweet) last night and today I had a blast with his '32 chopped Duece X wing.   Great stuff up this week!

Oh and if you have not been to the site before, check out the Test Post Clubhouse which is normally updated daily with a joke and funny pic.

Didn't see the chopped duece X-Wing, but I did like Saddam's Worst Nightmare. Funny stuff. I've got a Ford Futura I turned into a Klingon Fighter, maybe I should submit that.

Thanks for that, it's nice to see modelers with a sense of humor and a sense of the absurd.

scroll further down. The page rolls down forever.

You will probably need to wait for next December, Silly Week runs the first week of the year, Steve extended it because he got a flood of last minute entries. I guess Alvis had Dan the Mon-Key get into it again!

Last year I submitted all sorts of stuff, hopefully this year I will be able to get more good stuff built up for it.

despite its name ARC IS a diverse group and Steve accepts non-AC submissions to break it up. Check through the gallery and you will see quite a variety.

Also, check out that high-speed aircraft "cowrier".........wonder who built that?????

I finally saw the X-Wing Yesterday. Doh! I kept looking for an X-Wing and didn't even think of looking for a 32 Ford. That was just funny. Kudos to the builder!
