Great games, weren't they? Fun to play during a lunch break, and you could carry them easily.

Should have the sheeting done today. "Legend" is on cable, which means Shanlyn, my wife, won't be bugging me to do something for a few hours...yeeeha!

Once the foam has set to the base plywood, I can start sheeting using birch ply:

Chuckle...you can't destroy a cthonic ogre, it just goes to sleep! :)

Oh yeah, I will keep on posting up pics. I'm working on the main hull master (going to cast it in fiberglass) now.  Had to stop to make a master for a 1/350 deck tractor. With it drying, I can get to the polishing and sanding and puttying and polishing and sanding and....arrrgh.

How, exactly, would one destroy a chthonic OGRE?

Dhole missiles? Azathoth bombs?

Nice master for the treads. Bogies from an M4 Sherman? You make it look so easy; I might try to build a Mk V for myself.

Would you be kind enough to keep us updated on the progress?

No name as of yet, though I do love the cthonic ogres that were made for gaming!

Almost done with the master tread unit:

O.G.R.E. and G.E.V. are my all-time favorite board games. I had Kinkos mount all my maps on foam-core boards so they would last forever.

The OGREs themselves were supposed to be artificially intelligent, presumably w/ personalities of their own, so when we would play, we would give our OGREs names, like Grendel, Mjolnir, or Arse-ripper.

What sort of name does one give a Mk. 9?

Eagerly awaiting the final build- CJ

Ogre, wow that takes me back! I've seen some large models used for Ogre war gaming and they were very cool. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

The tank on the right is a Tiger 1...should scale out to be around 2.5 feet total. Lots and lots of work to do. Hey, where is my fiberglass?

Now this should be interesting. As I recall the metal mini's were 1/285 and the Ogres were about 4" long, so this will be what 14-16" long?
