Well I got a little painting done today.  I went with something off the wall.  I used MM enamels Sand, Sac Bomber Tan, and helo drab.  I like it. I left the lower hull in sand but will weather the living hell out of it to give it depth. The barrel is MM metalizer stainless steel with an overcoat of exhaust. Ill go afterward and chip it up to show the steel.

thx

Awesome looking build you got there. How did you fix the tubing of the barrels into the turret (hopefully not a silly question). looking forward to seeing what cam scheme you decide on. Urban or woodland style? Probably got some sort of colour change to react to surroundings maybe......?

This remind's me of a movie I saw once but I can't remember the name of it.

Every time the gun fired the recoil would blow it backward off it's axes's and it would spin helplessly out of control!

Still, I love the idea!

You got a telegram from headquarters today. Headquarters--what is it? Well, it's a big building where generals meet, but that's not important right now. [ img] f_armorsecretm_ac7eb73[/ img]

Awesome. Like the smoke launchers, the secondary gun on top of the turret, and those antennas(?).

Yes there is one that does that.  RPG-29. Reactive armor looks cool and this is futureistic reactive armor that destroys all RPG with the 2 shot capability.

quite nice, I like the multi barreled cannon.  Although, if this is suposto be something futuristic, I dunno if reactive armor would help, MGMikael posted something about russians developing a RPG that shoots a secondary rocket first, to activate the reactive armor so the missle hits the tank.

Well i did some work on this yesturday.  The gun is made from base tubing and is about a 75mm gatling gun.  The reactive armor are track blocks.  Almost ready to paint.

Thanks for the renewed interest in this grav tank folks.  It is on hold as all my builds are due to the fact I just moved to Hawaii and reassigned to a new unit. I could not shipp all my paints and glues with my stuff so I am waiting for a family member to ship them. I just moved in and should have the package next week.

I want to finish this puppy up in the next month. So stay tuned!!!!

Yes, great work so far!  We've got a guy in the local modeling club who likes building hover/anti-grav tanks, too.  Excellent stuff!

Slow progress.  I have most of the bottom done up but need to close up the ends and continue work on the turret. Also have to come up with the thrusters and engine nozzles.

the boggies are from the academy kit but good eye.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] . This is the sort of model I like to see.

Those bogies look familiar to me. What are they from? Tamiya's Merkava maybe?

Anti-grav tank(DONE pg 2)

Well i was going to start on the 1/72 F-302 but decided i needed something that would be just fun and whacky.  So here is what i have started.

The main hull parts or from a craoy Challenger II kit. Some other parts are from a M2A2 and from the rollers off a M60 Blazer.

I smoothed the turret and the top hull and i will be adding armor sheets to it and also making a close in weapon station with another optics station. There will be both rocket launchers and mini guns built into the side of the turret and i have yet to decide on the main gun.
