This is an interesting site... thanks for sharing! I recently read a post in another topic saying that 1/72 scale kits were nothing but a waste of plastic. I couldn't disagree more! 1/72 scale is perfect for modelers who want high quality in a small amount of space (relatively). It is true that 1/48 currently dominates the aircraft world but 1/72 is making strong strides in armor, remains strong in aircraft, and is slowly being seen in sci-fi as this web site illustrates. I even remember seeing a 1/72 scale nuclear aircraft carrier in an old issue of FSM... impressive!!

Yes, I have grown to love 1/72 when I first built my DS9 Runabout. I used 1/72 aircraft figs on the diorama. I remeber a ton of them came in the box and I enjoyed detaining them to look like starflet engineers. It's hard for me to find that scale of fig now.
I also build Gundams and have recently gotten into Zoids. You can find Zoids dirt cheap now at Kay Bee [and Toy Liquidators] and on clearance at Walmart and some K-marts. I recommend trying Kay Bee/Toy Liqudators. I'm going to find more 1/72 scale figs for Zoid dioramas.
