No, not any more. They are supposed to as are you supposed to be able to swap the gear to being up or down according to the box instructions. In reality though there are a couple of minor faults with this kit. The gear fit is VERY tight - so unless you're Arnie then god knows how you're meant to get them off and you'd probably destroy the model in the process (the nose strut is the worst).
As to the S-foils - there are a couple of notches that hold the wing tips together but they wore out really quick so I had to glue them together (I could have used blu-tak but as I'd never get the landing gear off I didn't bother).
But overall this was a really good build and everyone who loves Star Wars should get one - I will get another one in the future so I can have it with wings open!
Oh and here'e R2 -

Thanks - it was pre-shaded with black then airbrushed light gull grey then given a couple of washes with that pro-modelers stuff then lightly air brushed with black again in places to give a 'carbon scoring' effect.
Here are some better pix;

Thanks guys. I scratch built a lot of the cockpit detail but overall the kit is great - wish they would hurry up and make a 1/48 Y-Wing and TIE fighter!

Looks Great!

That kit sure beats the heck out of the MPC one I built back it the '70's.
