Help with display stand needed!
Posted by Killjoy on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 4:58 PM

I am fairly new to building Star Trek kits, and the two I have finished are out of the box builds.  One issue however, they seem to have pretty cheesy stands.  I have seen a number of pictures posted that show nice wood or plastic bases, and all kinds of different single or multiple rods (metal, plastic, wood) connecting the model to the base.

How do you mount it to the model itself, and what is your technique for making a base?  What material do you use?  What makes it easier to separate them for dusting and transport to shows or events? Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated! Make a Toast [#toast]
