1/100 MG Kampfer Custom WIP

Once again this kit has been in my stash for months, so, I think I will do some more work on it. If you remember, I posted the pic of the torso for this "little guy" in my Zeta 2.0 build. I'm really loving the way the paint job is coming along, It just....... looks... well you decide and tell me what you think.

gotta luv a Kempfer!

what is your final plan for the paint?  You going for a deep drab color?

I cut away the tube that run across the tops of the shoulders from the chest to the back and wound copper wire over rod and installed that. it looked MUCH better when painted than the stock plastic piece.

keep us posted

David

what you see in the pic is what is in my head for the final paint sceme. if you know citidel paints at all (I know not everyone is farmiliar with them) the color is chardon granite for the base armor, mordian blue and fenris grey for some of the details. as for major modifacations to the kit, there really aren't any, save one minor mod to one of the thrusters on the top-front of the torso as I lost that piece and had to get good with modeling putty real quick. Other than that this is going to be a straight forward build.

Hey PA, I'd love to see lots of pictures of this one. I'm building that exact same kit (for a while now) and advice on what to paint and when to paint it would be really useful to me.

no problem! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I love taking pics of gundam kits as it is and planed on lots of shots.

as for painting what and when, i usualy paint everything while its still on the sprue and touch up where i cut it off and sanded before i assemble it. I dont paint the internals of the suit cause these are mostly for me and a few of my friends (on and offline) to enjoy. I may do a compleet paint job when I get my AB, but until then, me no paint internals.Wink [;)] also keep in mind this is a custom paint job not stock.

pics to come soon, as i am working and cant upload this moment. Sign - Dots [#dots]
