I built the 1st issue of the AMT Airwolf back in the mid 80's when they came out and was disappionted with the interior as there was no set interion so I had to modify and scratch build one. but I was far from satisfied with the results.   But, the kit went together fairly easy. the Blue Thunder kit had a better interior build up but was inaccurate.   It was better then nothing at the time.

The AMT kit is discontinued at HLJ, but this is what they have to say about it:

" A reissue of the AMT 1/48 kit of Airwolf. Includes a complete interior, optional position cannon and missile-launcher armament and retractable landing gear - because we all know a helicopter can't go supersonic without retractable landing gear! Parts are also included that will allow you to build a stock Bell 222, although these are not called out on the instruction sheet and no decals are included."

 The link: http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS03824

Good luck w/ the search.
