The Viper is looking very nice.  I like how the engine lighting looks.  I hope the kit for the Viper and Radier stay on the shelves for awhile.  It will be sometime before I can actually pick them up.

The Cylon Cockpit sound like a interesting build.  Would like to see some pic's when you have time.

Keep up the good work and look forward to future posts.

Great Idea on building up the Cyclon cockpit, I know of someone that is making a conversion kit for that.  I know he has the rough stuff done but I don't think he'll be finishing it right away based on the other schedules....

Looking good! I was wondering about how this turned out, we hadn't heard from you in a bit. Unfair to leave me hangin' like that. Big Smile [:D]

More, please.

BSG Viper Builda Along Update

I've been a bit busy to post updates but here goes...
I've made some progress including getting the painting started and wrapping up the lighting.  I am buring it in as I type this to make sure everything is OK....
I started by painting mine in camoflage grey, I always tought this was a good color for the Viper as it is not pure white and it's not a pure grey but someplace in between, with just a touch of tan.....  I think....
I then painted the exhaust cans and the areas behind the intakes with Gunship grey, and painted some of the plumbing with Copper, afterwards I did a dry brush with Light Ghost Grey to bring out some of the detail followed by a wash.  Then I sprayed some Model Master Metalizer Exhaust to give that burnt look.
With that painted I started mounting and wiring the LED's.  My first pass had me mounting the LED's in the thrust cans.  Only mounted them 1/2 way hoping to light up the blue cards that also came in that cockpit set I purchased but the LED's were too mono directional as I feared so I needed to mount some additional LED's inside and hold them off so it could light those.  So I built a bracket to hold them where I wanted them and mounted them inside the engines.  I like the affect...  Here are some shots...

The next two show the kit mostly assembled but waiting for more painting, detailing and washes...
