Since I was asked this might be the good time to finish off the WIP I started but never finished... ^ ^
Some of you may remember the small diorama I finished towards the late last year.
The base for that diorama started as the base for the Bandai's 1/250 Gundam Diorama series.
Specifically it's from the Jaburo diorama kit.

Now here you can see the progress from very early to the middle stages.
Initially tried out the modeling putty to make the dolomites but it wasn't such a success.
Here you can see my lousy attempt at the dolomites. Yep it looks like crap~
For the ground being dark it just received a some washing to add depth though I changed mind and start to spray away~
Can't recall the colours as I mixed various ones at random... And I'm lousy at keeping the mixture ratio which comes back and bite when I need to build/repair kits with the same colour mixture... - -;
However I wasn't happy with those dolomites and decided to beep them up using the crazy dough from my kid's toy box - don't worry it was left overs that we were going to throw away anyway~ ^ ^
Once they are dried overnight I put the modeling paste to fill in those cracks.
At the same time added the Gel medium to simulate the water area.
Here's another shot with the flash off to show the water surface...
After bit more fiddling and what not here's the finished product you may familiar with~ ^ ^
