1\100 Master Grade Shin Musha Gundam
Posted by Puma_Adder on Sunday, June 22, 2008 4:41 PM

Big Smile [:D] It's here! I have it! I recently was walkin round in my local TRU(remember, I am in japan.), and was looking for new gundam kits like the MG zaku cannon thats suposta come out soon. Insted of that I found the gundam of gundams, the Shin Musha from Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. needless to say, the F-91 I was looking at got dropped and put back on the shelf. This makes me think I should change my name to Keroro Gunso.Tongue [:P]

I know, thats not the Musha, it's Keroro and the F-91 head.

There's the Musha!

And, that is it! Me and Keroro will be back soon with more of this great looking kit!

This is going to be a two part build. First I will build the kit to see how it goes together and where it will need filler and such, you know, those dreded seam lines. Second will be the good stuff, painting, sanding, making the damn thing look badass, you know, that sort of fun airbrushy goodness. Also it will be chance to use my camera more.

You don't know how badly I want to just build the damn SOB and display it....SoapBox [soapbox]Sign - Dots [#dots]

Update time! Shot some new progress pics, enjoy!Cool [8D]

This sword is amazing! it has the same silver coat blade as all the other MS kits with human style close combat weapons.

I highly recomend glueing the scabbard together, as there are no alighnment pegs to keep it from coming apart, save the top and bottom bits.

 Is'nt that butiful?

 Big Smile [:D]

The kit is based on the One Year War ver. of the RX-78-2 MG kit so for the most part there is no problems with the internals for the torso, arms and legs.

more to come, as soon as the site I host my pics on stops being dum.

How was the sword attached to the sprue?  As in, are there any gates on the blade itself?  It looks like such a nice finish I would be bad to have to make my own.

The blade is atached in much the same way as the one for the Red Frame Astray 1\100 kit. it clips of nicely with a set of snips and a little work with the hobby knife. as for the spots where the shiny finish on the blade is damaged from the cut, you can get a chrome Gundam Marker online or I could send one to ya. the marker works realy good.

more pics soon, kero, kero.

I see your pic changed to kero, heh.  I dont have the aformentioned kit, I avoid seed, G, and 00 like the plauge.  What I meant was, can you get away without painting the blade. or are there blemishes from where the gates are attached

as I said in my previous post, there are some spots that get messed up, but if you clip it well enough you dont need paint. however, if you find that you dont like the way it looks, I can send you the chrome paint marker. the marker makes things look like the finish that is on the blade, so it looks like you never cut it off.

also the marker is only 160 yen or about $1.60, so its not a problem to get one and ship it to you. I use it myself and it works great.

I have the markers.  After a while, unless you seal it (havent tried before) the silver tends to act like a really really sensative scratch off ticket.

Really? I have always had good luck with the chrome marker. anywho.. the monster stands! It is about 1\2 an inch taller than the One Year War Gundam due to leg extentions that the kit comes with. I have a crap load of pics that I will try to upload later.

I should also really finish the Sazabi I started bout a month ago.......... kero, kero.........kero...

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

That there little green guy is the one and only Keroro Gunso, or Sgt. Frog for us in the U.S. He has his own manga and anime series. In said series he tries to invade earth, but fails. he stays on earth with a small one parent, two kid family who take him in. he is obcessed with gunpla particularly the Universal Century suits. gundam is has constant cameo apperenses in the show.

also I thought the model looked cool and am now an avid fan of the anime. Keep an eye open for him in my other gundam builds, as i will problebly drop him in the shots just for fun.

Later!

the crossbone is small, in most dimensions.  even with the full cloth armor cloak thing, its smaller them my Kaempfer.

Gotta paint it. You also have some gate-marks on the front of the shoulder armor. Do you have a set of sprue cutters?

Seriously, paint. That thing would look bad-*** w/ some color, drybrushing and shading.

Once again,... This one was a test kit so I could see where I needed to fix stuff up a bit. I plan on geting one more and hiting it with my usual hand painted touch.

as for the Crossbone, It and the F-91 are miniatureised MS. around the time F-91 took place, they started making ms smaller cause they needed to be lighter and faster.  the smaller MS are actualy better in some respects becuse some, like the gundam types, have a higher combat output than most MS made before them. serieously, these guys are only like, 15-16 Meters tall.

Thanks for looking and for the complements. Big Smile [:D]

PS- yes, I have sprue cutters, I'm a Warhammer 40K player. It would be model kit heracy not to have them. Laugh [(-D]

If your getting a second one of these, and just used that to snap.  Do me a favor, put that one in a box, put postage and my address on it, and put it in the mail...

About F-91 it isnt that far from realism.  Around WWII it seemed that the bigger the weapon (tank) the better, look at the heavytanks, pershings and king tigers, same with the KVs they were huge, now a days its about the fast little speedy vehichles to get the job done, as opposed to hulking monstrocities.

Also, I hate you for having enough money to buy more then one of the same kit that soon.
