The answer is - it depends. On what time period you're interested in for the particular ship you're building. And the type if ship. The Measure 32 midwar disruptive scheme, for instance, would look quite different on a light cruiser as compared to an attack transport.

We're mixing some terminology here - not exactly apples and oranges, but more like apples and apple pies.

The first site provided, the Ship Camouflage site, provided colors only.  That is referred to as the Measure.  Measure 21, Measure 32, etc.   Some Measures are the same for every ship, and some require speacial Designs (also known as Patterns, and requested in this thread as "drawings"). In all cases, the Measure is the palette of colors to be used, and in some cases, the Measure will prescribe where those colors are to be applied.  And in other cases, that palette is to be applied in particular Designs.

The second site provides some of those specific Designs, which were custom-made for particular ship classes.  So a Design 10A is for an Aircraft Carrier, specifically drawn for an Essex class.  (And just to keep it fun, sometimes a design was used on a different type of a ship, but every rule has exceptions).  The Designs were, however, only meant for a particular measure.  I do believe that you will never (There's a cocky statement to make!!!) find a case of a Design 4A used with any Measure other than 32.  (See the Nautilus site to see what I'm referring to)

I will keep this short, but it could be a very long dissertation.

Uhhh Rick...  when was the last time you went through the camouflage database there? Not only do we list and link to the camouflage measure, in many cases (in some classes, all cases) we also link to the pattern. Check out aircract carriers, heavy cruisers, and Buckley Class DEs for example.

None taken, we just want people to know about the resources available.

For what it's worth, I added two more design sheets this week.
